Third generation of the Daimler Truck engine equipped with two Sonceboz actuators

The third generation of the Daimler Truck AG heavy-duty engine OM 471 has an air management system equipped with two Sonceboz Smart actuators.

Mounted with a direct drive concept on the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system of the new OM 471 engine, a Sonceboz Smart BLDC actuator contributes to improving EGR controllability while lowering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by reducing component and assembly time.

A second Sonceboz Smart actuator, thanks to its benchmark torque output, precisely positions the electronic Exhaust Throttle Valve (ETV) which supports SCR thermal management and decreases NOx emissions, especially at cold start.
