BMW i8, featuring Sonceboz actuators, wins Engine of the Year Award – again

For the 4th year in a row, the BMW i8 1.5 litre three-cylinder electric-gasoline hybrid won the “International Engine of the Year”-Award in the 1.4 litre to 1.8 litre category.
Sonceboz provides brushless mechatronic actuators for variable valve lift to BMW. This compact and robust actuator drives the Valvetronic system, which increases the engine’s performance and thus driving pleasure,  while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

This is the 8th year in a row that BMW engines featuring Sonceboz valve lift actuators won the Engine of the Year Award.
